As such several organizations, are prioritizing initiatives to assure optimal brain health for all in the 21st Century

However, there are prominent differences in the ability of certain groups to achieve optimal brain health.

These longstanding inequities in neurological outcomes continue largely unabated, unresolved, and unexplained, despite major advances in the management of neurological disease
-
Projections indicate the neurological inequities by sex/gender, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, geography (rural/ethnic), and global region (especially LMICs) will get worse over time

EQN Aims and Scope

Equity Neuroscience publishes the scholarly progress of multi-, inter-, and trans-disciplinary research work to understand, address, and ultimately eliminate neurological disparities

EQN publishes all types of original research, including studies conducted with human subjects and experimental models, as well as applied clinical, epidemiological, and healthcare policy papers.

In-depth reviews, original articles, national and international meeting abstracts, and special focus editions, help broaden the reader’s knowledge and understanding of equity neuroscience

Topics covered within EQN include, but are not limited to, cerebrovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, epilepsy, migraine, neurological infections, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disorders, peripheral nerve disorders, pediatric neurology, sleep disorders, and traumatic brain injury
